TIME: 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
COST: FREE
PARKING: The only parking in the area is along the road in front of the park. There is both a bus stop and a POGOH Bike rental station at the park if you choose alternate forms of transportation. If you choose alternate forms of transportation, call ahead and arrange for pick-up of your compost bin.
RESTROOMS: There are no public restrooms available at the park so plan accordingly. The Homewood Brushton YMCA is located approximately 4 blocks away at 7140 Bennett St, Pittsburgh, PA 15208 and has restroom facilities.
WHAT TO BRING: Wear comfortable clothing you can run and play in. Bring a light rain coat for light rain. The park has a few shady areas but is mostly sunny. You may want to bring sunscreen. Bring a reusable water bottle. We will bring a cooler of water you can use to fill your bottle. This event will be cancelled for a strong rainy storm. PRC will provide compost bins after the event unless you've arranged to pick them up ahead of time. Compost bins will be provided even if the event gets cancelled.
