This workshop thoroughly covers the importance and benefits of composting, the process, setting up a compost pile, proper maintenance, and ways of using finished compost. 

The PRC Backyard Composting Workshop is Free for Rutledge Borough residents.

If residents want to purchase a Compost Bin, the Borough has offered to subsidize $20 for the first 15 residents who would like to purchase a Compost Bin.  The cost to the residents will be $50 instead of the usual $70. The bin has an 82-gallon capacity and is ideal for urban and suburban areas. You can pay for the bin when you register and the Bin will be brought to the Borough Hall for you to take home.
