This workshop is supported by Pennsylvania Resources Council and Westmoreland County Master Watershed Stewards. It is hosted by the Vandergrift Public Library.
Workshop participants will learn how to harvest rainwater from their roofs, store it, and use it in the landscape. You will also learn how to reduce your contribution to combined sewer overflow (CSO), flooding, and polluted urban runoff by learning how to practice watershed protection and conservation in your own backyards. It’s easier than you think! Registrants receive a pre-painted 55-gal drum with the drain hole pre-drilled. You will be assisted at stations as you drill holes and install hardware before going home with a completely assembled rain barrel.
Rain Barrel Parts Kit includes ($45 value. Click for more detail):
- Downspout divertor
- Drill bits for 3 hole sizes
- Drain plug without valve
- Spigot with valve
- Expandable inlet hose
Thank you for supporting a waste-free Pennsylvania!
