This workshop thoroughly covers the importance and benefits of composting, the process, setting up a compost pile, proper maintenance, and ways of using finished compost.
This workshop also includes a free 82-gallon capacity compost bin which is ideal for urban and suburban areas. The Backyard Composting Workshop is free for Middletown residents only and the grant allows us to give out 20 compost bins. You must be present to receive the bin the night of the workshop. The first 20 people to sign up will receive a bin.

funding from AQUA, an Essential Utilities company.
