PRC Backyard Composting at Edgmont Township Building, Newtown Square

This workshop thoroughly covers the importance and benefits of composting, the process, setting up a compost pile, proper maintenance, and ways of using finished compost. 

This workshop also includes a free 82-gallon capacity compost bin which is ideal for urban and suburban areas.  An Aqua Grant allows PRC to give out 20 compost bins. You must be present to receive the bin the night of the workshop.  The first 20 people to sign up and be in attendance will receive a bin. 

Funding for this project was awarded through the “Protect Your Drinking Water” grant program, administered by the Pennsylvania Environmental Council with funding from AQUA, an Essential Utilities company.
